COPA National Becomes the 50th Member of the Forum des leaders

Earlier this month, COPA National became the 50th organization to join the Forum des Leaders, a consultative group convened by the Fédération des communautés francophones et acadiennes (FCFA) made up of Francophone organizations from across Canada. The purpose of the Forum des leaders is to work together toward a common vision for the Francophone minority in Canada. Part of this mandate is to ensure the implementation of agreed-upon strategic objectives that will unify and strengthen Francophone communities across the country. On June 9-10, COPA National attended the first Forum des leaders held in person since 2019, as a member! It was a rich experience to connect and network with Francophone organizations across Canada, and to be in the company of representatives to the Forum des leaders who were recently elected to COPA National’s Board of Directors: Marie-Claude Rioux, the Executive Director of the Fédération acadienne de la Nouvelle-Écosse, Mona Audet, Executive Director of Pluri-elles, and Brigitte Bergeron, Director of the Francophonie Program at the Canadian Teacher’s Federation. "As members of the Forum des Leaders, we look forward to building relationships and partnerships to further assist Francophone minority communities," said COPA National's Executive Director, Randa Meshki. "In addition, we are committed to supporting implementation of the objectives of the Forum's Strategic Collaboration Plan and establishing close collaboration with its members to ensure its success."

COPA National would like to express its sincere gratitude to the FCFA for its support and trust in welcoming our organization to the Forum des leaders.
